Terms of Service
Please read these terms before using Snapcite. By creating an account you agree to them.
Last updated: August 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Snapcite Inc. ("Snapcite," "we," "our," or "us"), a Delaware C-Corporation, governing your access to and use of the Snapcite website and expense management service (the "Service"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Snapcite is a bookkeeping support and expense organization tool. It uses AI to read receipts, extract vendor, date, amount, tax, and line-item fields, assign expense categories, flag business versus personal spending, and compile reports and a tax-time summary.
Snapcite is bookkeeping support, not tax or accounting advice. The categories, totals, and summaries we produce are intended to organize your receipts, not to constitute professional tax, accounting, legal, or financial guidance. Estimates and categories may contain errors and should be reviewed by you or a qualified professional before filing or making financial decisions.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@snapcitelabs.com immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Accounts are not transferable without our written consent.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload receipts or documents that belong to someone else without their authorization.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our models or data pipelines.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Upload malware, malicious scripts, or excessively large files intended to disrupt the Service.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission.
5. Plans and Billing
Snapcite offers a free tier and paid plans (currently Solo and Business), priced in US dollars. Plan details, current prices, and feature limits are described on our Pricing page.
- Billing cycle - Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, depending on your selection at checkout.
- Cancellation - You may cancel at any time from your account Settings page. Your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period. We do not prorate partial months unless required by law.
- Refunds - We handle refund requests case by case. Email support@snapcitelabs.com within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error was made.
- Price changes - We will give at least 30 days notice before raising prices on an existing paid plan.
- Test mode - During early access or beta periods, payments may run in test mode. We will notify you clearly if that is the case.
6. Your Content and Data Ownership
You own the receipts, images, and data you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant Snapcite a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store it for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train AI models.
You can export all your data at any time, and you can delete your account and content at any time (see our Privacy Policy for details).
7. AI Outputs
Snapcite uses OpenAI's models to extract and categorize expense data from your receipts. AI outputs may contain mistakes, including incorrect vendor names, amounts, dates, or category assignments. We make no guarantee of accuracy. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before using them in financial reports, tax filings, or any other context where accuracy matters.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Snapcite's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Snapcite in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
Snapcite is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections 6 through 11 survive termination.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you by email if the changes are material. Continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of them.
