What is new in Snapcite.

Multi-currency support and improved PDF parsing.

• NewMulti-currency receipts are now detected and tagged with the source currency. Amounts are stored in original currency alongside a USD conversion using the exchange rate at the time of upload.
• NewPDF invoices with embedded text layers now parse significantly faster. Text is read directly rather than run through vision extraction, which also improves accuracy on formatted invoices.
• ImprovedThe tax-time summary report now groups expenses by both IRS Schedule C category and custom category, making it easier to hand to an accountant.
• ImprovedBusiness vs personal confidence score is now shown in the expense detail view so you can see why a receipt was flagged either way.
• FixedReceipts with a printed amount in a non-standard font (common in some grocery chains) were occasionally returning a blank amount field. This is resolved.
• FixedCSV exports with special characters in vendor names were producing malformed files in some spreadsheet apps. Export now wraps all string fields correctly.

Bulk upload, custom categories, and a redesigned expense editor.

• NewBulk upload: drag up to 25 receipt images or PDFs onto the upload area and Snapcite queues and processes them in parallel. Progress is shown per receipt.
• NewCustom categories: Business plan accounts can now create, rename, and color-code their own expense categories in addition to the default set.
• NewLine-item editor: individual line items from a receipt can now be edited, merged, or deleted before the expense is added to a report.
• ImprovedThe expense editor has been redesigned with a two-column layout showing the original receipt image alongside the extracted fields. No more switching between tabs to verify the reading.
• ImprovedThe receipt scanner now performs a second-pass extraction on any field that returned low confidence, reducing the frequency of blank vendor names on receipts with unusual typography.
• FixedHEIC files uploaded from newer iPhones were occasionally failing to process. HEIC to JPEG conversion now runs before extraction.

Report sharing, improved mileage notes, and security updates.

• NewReport sharing: generate a read-only share link for any expense report. Links expire after 30 days and can be revoked from the report settings.
• NewMileage note field: receipts can now include a freeform mileage note, making it easier to keep vehicle-related expenses organized alongside the corresponding receipt.
• ImprovedEmail receipts forwarded to your Snapcite inbox address now parse the attachment automatically rather than requiring a manual confirmation step.
• ImprovedThe receipt list view now supports filter by date range, category, and business-vs-personal flag in combination, not just individually.
• FixedAccounts with more than 500 receipts were seeing slow load times on the main expense list. Pagination and query optimization bring list load times back under 400ms at any scale.
• FixedA session bug caused some users to be signed out unexpectedly after a password change. Sessions are now invalidated correctly only for devices the user chooses to sign out.
