What the work is like.
Hard, specific problems
Reading messy, real-world receipts accurately is a genuinely difficult ML problem. You will work on document understanding, vision model evaluation, and extraction quality, not on dashboards for dashboards.
A small team that ships
We are 14 people building full time. You will own large parts of the product, talk directly to the users you are building for, and see your work in production within weeks.
Early, with room to grow
Pre-Seed means the decisions that shape the company are still being made. If you want to set the technical direction, define the product, or build the early customer relationships, you can do that here.
Where we need help.
Founding ML Engineer
You will own Snapcite's model-agnostic extraction layer. That means running accuracy benchmarks, evaluating new vision and language models as they ship, improving the schema validation pipeline, and building the feedback loop that makes extraction better over time. You care about output quality the way a carpenter cares about a clean joint.
Product Engineer
We build in Next.js with TypeScript and a Postgres-backed data layer. You will work across the full stack, from the receipt upload flow to the expense editor to the export pipeline. You have opinions about what good UX feels like and you act on them.
Customer Advocate
Snapcite's users are freelancers and small business owners, not accountants. You will be the first person they hear from when something is confusing or wrong, and you will bring what you learn back to the product team. You are organized, direct, and genuinely care about getting people unstuck.
